1. Acceptance of Terms
By using ButterCut (the "Service"), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Service allows users to upload, edit, and enhance videos using artificial intelligence features such as automated subtitles, B-roll suggestions, dubbing, trimming, and other editing tools. The Service may be accessed via our website or application.
3. Compliance with Platform Policies
You agree to: - Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including copyright and intellectual property laws. - Acknowledge that ButterCut is not affiliated with Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Meta, or any other platform where edited videos may be published. - Ensure that any media you upload belongs to you or that you have obtained proper authorization to use it.
4. User Responsibilities
You warrant that: - You own or have the necessary rights to all video, audio, images, and other content uploaded to the Service. - You will not use the Service to create, edit, or distribute content that is abusive, misleading, illegal, or violates third-party rights. - You meet the minimum age requirement (13+ years old) to use the Service.
5. Data Usage
Uploaded Media: Videos, audio files, and images uploaded by you are processed solely to provide editing services. We do not claim ownership of your content. Retention: Media files may be stored temporarily to enable editing and exporting. Once deleted by you or after account deletion, associated data will be removed from our servers, subject to any legal obligations. No Sharing: We do not share or sell your uploaded media or personal data to third parties, except as required to provide the Service (e.g., hosting or AI infrastructure providers). Credentials: We do not store any third-party platform login credentials. Data Deletion: Email us on admin@buttercut.ai to request complete or partial deletion of your data/account and your request will be processed within 72 hours.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted functionality, compatibility with all file formats, or successful rendering of all edits. AI Limitations: Results generated by AI features may not always be accurate, stylistically correct, or suitable for your intended purpose. Platform Risks: Publishing edited content on third-party platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) is subject to their own policies. We are not liable for any restrictions, takedowns, or account issues that may arise.
7. Limitation of Liability
ButterCut shall not be liable for any damages (e.g., loss of data, corrupted files, missed publishing deadlines, or financial losses) resulting from your use of the Service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in unlawful activity.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website or app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Refund & Cancellation Policy
